Kristin Flieger Samuelian is Associate Professor of English at George Mason University, where she teaches courses in late eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British literature and culture. She is the author of Royal Romances: Sex, Scandal, and Monarchy in Print, 1780-1821(Palgrave Macmillan, 2010), as well as articles on Austen, Dickens, and Romantic-period culture, and she is editor of the Broadview Literary Texts edition of Austen’s Emma. Her current book project looks at representations of dance and nationalism in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British culture. Professor Samuelian also teaches regularly for George Mason’s Honors College and coordinates the Honors program in English.
