Amy Elizabeth Smith is a Professor of English at the University of Pacific in Stockton, California, where she teaches creative writing and literature. Her memoir, All Roads Lead to Austen: A Yearlong Journey with Jane, was inspired by student projects from her Jane Austen course. All Roads narrates her travels in six Latin American countries, learning Spanish and holding Austen reading groups. She is currently at work on a novel set in 1930s Buenos Aires.
