20th Anniversary Poster Revealed

Fall for the Book is proud to announce the winner of our 2018 poster contest: artist Jaime Cooper. We loved the splash of rainbow color pouring from the quill, as the reader enjoys her book. To find out more about her design, we asked Jaime what inspired her:

I wanted to visually display the relationship between an author and his/her reader.  The abstract is intended to represent the reader’s imagination as influenced by the words on the page.  It was my desire that each viewer would see something different in this piece, just as each of us experiences a unique relationship with the authors of the books we choose to read.

Keep an eye out around town this fall for Jaime’s poster. It will also be featured on the cover of our printed program, and in our free app.

Share the design with your friends, and as always,

#ReadOn!

About our winner:

Jaime Cooper

“I love a creative challenge and strive to problem-solve with my designs.  I am currently studying graphic design in anticipation of making a major career change.  I recently completed eleven years as a U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, a career which took me all over the world.  Through my travels, I have learned to appreciate the impact that design has on culture and vice versa.  As I develop my style as a designer I hope to incorporate cross-cultural influences and create visual narratives for my audiences which will inspire the imagination.  I have always been interested in the visual arts and am excited to have the support of my husband and daughters as I pursue this new path.”
