Angie Thomas Has Been Rescheduled

August 24, 2018 – Fairfax, VA:

Fall for the Book announces that Angie Thomas’s reading on Saturday, October 13, 2018 has been postponed. Thomas was meant to close out the final day of the Fall for the Book festival in conversation with critic Bethanne Patrick. The festival is working to reschedule her event after the exciting debut of The Hate U Give movie, and Thomas’s new book, On the Come Up. Fall for the Book will release the details of the new reading time, date, and location as soon as possible. Information will be disseminated across all social media channels, as well as on fallforthebook.org.

While the festival organizers regret Thomas won’t be able to attend the October festival, they are looking forward to her rescheduled appearance, which will be sponsored by the Fairfax County Public Library.

Fall for the Book is Northern Virginia’s oldest and largest festival of literature and arts. From October 10-13, 2018, over 150 authors will give readings, panels, and workshops at George Mason University’s Fairfax Campus, and around Northern Virginia. All events are free and open to the public thanks to the generous support of sponsors including the Fairfax County Public Library, George Mason University, the Fairfax Library Foundation, and the City of Fairfax.
