Years Running

  • Fall for the Book has given me memorable moments, conversations and reads: Khaled Hosseini speaking to a packed Concert Hall about The Kite Runner; Roger Wilkins and Doris Kearns Goodwin discussing LBJ's presidency at the Harris Theater, a conversation with author Thomas Mallon at the Sandy Spring tent. This year it was author Tom Gjelten and his eye-opening book, "A Nation of Nations," close by at the Burke Library. Thank you!!

  • Every year one of my resolutions is to read more and think about what I've read. Thank heaven for Fall for the Book! This festival inspires me, introduces me to new authors, and gives me important insights. I am happy every year to have a reading resolution and to support the Fall for the Book festival."

  • Fall for the Book gives everyone, readers and writers alike, the opportunity to meet the storytellers who've introduced us to other worlds and sparked our imaginations in amazing ways. I support Fall for the Book because I believe in the power of story and its potential to better the world. Fall for the Book embraces the story while celebrating the storyteller and the reader. I'm proud to be a very small part of that.

  • Fall for the Book allows me to see and hear working writers explain their craft in an intimate setting. I believe the pulse of our society can be measured by the people who are creating excellent writing.

  • We contribute because we support and value the work that FFTB does in promoting authors and reading. We also really enjoy the speakers at the festival and have spent a little extra to get extra tickets to the speakers’ presentations as well as access to the VIP reception beforehand where we have had an opportunity to engage the speakers personally.
