Liam Callanan
is the author of the novel The Cloud Atlas (2004), which he began as his M.F.A. thesis at George Mason University. He received his B.A. from Yale University and earned a master's in English from Georgetown, where he currently teaches. He is a frequent contributor to National Public Radio's Morning Edition, and his work has also been published in Slate, the New York Times Book Review, the Washington Post Magazine, Forbes FYI and Parents.
