Stephanie Allen's short story collection A Place Between Stations (University of Missouri Press, 2003) was a finalist in the AWP Award Series in Short Fiction for 2001, and she was also the recipient of a 2002 Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award. She holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.F.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park . Her stories have been published in both the Massachusetts Review and Connecticut Review
