Susan Baggette

Susan Baggette Susan Baggette, who lives in Sterling, Va., began her writing career at age seven. She was a playwright and lecturer on children's literature before she began writing for the League of Women Voters' national newsletter, In Touch, and two ASPO/Lamaze publications, Lamaze Parents and Genesis. In July 1996, Baggette founded The Brookfield Reader, a children's publishing company, and in 1988, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce honored her as Entrepreneur of the Year. The Brookfield Reader was named Small Press Publisher of the Year at BookExpo in April 1999 for The Jonathan Adventures. Baggette also has written for dig, a new archaeological magazine for children. In 2000, she published The Night the Moon Slept.
