W. Ralph Eubanks
W. Ralph Eubanks, a native of Mount Olive, Mississippi, is the author of Ever Is a Long Time: A Journey Into Mississippi's Dark Past (Basic Books, 2003), a memoir describing his experiences growing up as an African American in the 1960s. Eubanks is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and holds an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Since 1995, he has been director of the Publishing Office at the Library of Congress.
